AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed taken from the Bible verse: 2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,
a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
Our AWANA program is a self-paced Bible memory club, designed to meet the needs of children preschool through 4th grades. Our AWANA club meets weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00PM from September thru May.
Our AWANA club follows the school calendar with time off during school breaks. Weekly sessions include game time around the AWANA circle, book time, large group music and teaching time. Each student begins at an entry level and works through successive books at his/her own pace. There are lots of opportunities for your children to be part of such as Christmas caroling, a trip to Bounce ‘a’ Palooza, ability to earn achievement awards, AWANA Bucks, extra prizes, trips to the store and a chance to pie a leader in the face!
The children will be placed in the following clubs based on their school grades:
Cubbies- Pre-School and Kindergarten
Sparkies- 1st thru 2nd Grades
T&T-3rd and 4th grades
Children are welcome to come on board anytime throughout the school year. For more information about how to participate in our AWANA program, please contact the church office @ 768-3767.
